Here Comes Mexico



We're moving on to Unit 3. Mexico is starting today and that means that all current events must now be about Mexico. Remember, opportunities for extra credit are available dependent upon the quality and professionalism of your post. In order to earn an extra credit point, you must provide the following information when posting:

1. The title of the article
2. The name of the newspaper, magazine, internet site, etc.

where you found the article
3. Identify the country and continent where the current event

happened
4. Include a 2 or 3 sentence description of what the article was about

Here is an example of an appropriate post.

On Wednesday, August 11, a man robbed a Susquehanna Bank in Ephrata, Lancaster County. The robbery took place around 10:30 am and the robber was able to escape. According to police, the robber was described as a white male, wearing sunglasses, a hat, a white t-shirt and shorts.

    Last month the Mexican government passed a law limiting how many US Dollars can be exchanged south of the boarder. The new magic number is $1,500. But, businesses in Baja Claifornia are still accepting US Dollars.

  3. Mexico: Travelers dismark 'nightmare' cruise amid cheers

    On 11/11 2010, a carnival cruise headed to the Pacific off Mexico for an enjoyable cruise. The cruise did ot go that way. The cruise lost all of its power about 1/4 of the way. They had no toilets and they had to eat gross food! A helicopter had to drop food for the people on the cruise. " I love being back on land!" Said the passengers.
